PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of warning of a matter to be confirmed at the starting point to a user. SOLUTION: The navigation device comprises: the route search means 4 for searching a recommended route from present position to the destination; the time detection means 5 for detecting the present time; the state detection means 6 for detecting the external state; the confirmation item storage means 7 for storing a plurality of confirmation items; the confirmation item selection means 8 for selecting the confirmation items from at least one selected from among the recommended route searched by the route searching means, the present time detected by the time detection means, and the external state detected by the state detection means; and the output means 9 for outputting a message representing the confirmation items selected by the confirmation item selection means.
