PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate reservation of listening/viewing or video recording in a portable broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: Reservation of listening/viewing or video recording is facilitated by providing a broadcast signal receiving means, a means for storing a moving video file including character information, a means for judging whether the moving video file is a broadcast video image or not from the character information in the moving video file, and a means for controlling operation of the broadcast signal receiving means based on detailed information contained in the character information.
