The at least two portions of the transparent electrode structure positioned on one of the adjacent light emitting cells are electrically connected to the semiconductor layer of the first conductivity type of the other light emitting cell by the interconnections. Each one of the at least two portions of the transparent electrode structure has a long shape in a current flow direction between the light emitting cells.
