PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof for reducing noise generation by controlling voltage-rising and/or voltage-falling application time points of data pulses so as to change the voltage-rising time and the voltage-falling time of data pulses. SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel having a plurality of address electrodes, a data driving unit 802 that drives the plurality of address electrodes, and a data pulse controlling unit 801 that controls the data driving unit 802 in such a manner that application time points of data pulses applied to a neighboring address electrode group are different from application time points of data pulses applied to another address electrode group. Thereby, generation of noise is decreased, the driving efficiency of the plasma display panel is enhanced, and electric damages in the driving circuit can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
