PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent an original from being left behind after the completion of original reading. SOLUTION: This image processing system is provided with: a reading means for performing original reading processing; a storage means for storing image information of the read original; a control means for making an outputting means output the original image information stored in the storage means according to an output condition set by an operating means; and a determining means for determining whether the read original is removed from the reading means. The system makes the setting of the output condition by the operating means completable after the determining means determines that the original is removed from the reading means, and prevents desired processing from being carried out before it is determined that the original is removed from the reading means, so that the original is surely prevented from being left behind.
