An apparatus for distributing parts for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to improve the supply performance of the parts and prevent the unnecessary stoppage of the assembly line by supplying the loaded pallet to the empty pallet rack according to the assembly command of the control computer. An apparatus for distributing parts for a vehicle is composed of a robot carriage mounted to consecutively supply the parts to at least one assembly line; plural pallet racks(50) plurally arranged to withdraw the parts by the robot carriage, wherein each part mounts the loaded pallet; a sensor(1) installed at each pallet rack to sense the number of the parts loaded on the pallet; a lower EMS(Electronic Monorail System, 2) mounted at the rear surface where the plural pallet racks are placed to load/withdraw the pallets on the pallet rack; an upper EMS(3) mounted to supply a loaded pallet(P1) to the lower EMS and to withdraw an empty pallet(P2) from the lower EMS; a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller, 4) operating/controlling the upper and lower EMSs; and a control computer(5) mounted to receive the information of the sensor and consecutively operate the PLC.
