PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false position signal generator capable of performing test of a controller to be a host system and verification test of software of a controller easily and inexpensively without preparing a servo control unit, a motor, or an encoder. SOLUTION: The generator is provided with: an A/D converter 2 for converting an analog voltage command from a high order apparatus; an adder 3 for inputting and adding up an output of the A/D converter 2 and data of a register 4; the register 4 for holding the output of the adder 3 in a clock signal; a logical circuit 53 for outputting a pulse on the basis of a highest order big signal of the A/D converter 2 and an overflow signal of the adder 3; and counters 61-65 for inputting the output of the logical circuit 53 and outputting count signals. On the basis of the outputs of the counters 61 to 65, a false position signal is generated and outputted to the high order apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
