PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user enjoy music without feeling unsatisfied feeling and a sense of incongruity similarly if the user listens to a musical sound with a headphone, etc., by reproducing the musical sound with a portable reproducing apparatus, etc., even if the musical sound is reproduced with a full-scale audio reproducing apparatus capable of reproducing the musical sound faithfully without performing various adjustment to a plurality of kinds of compressed digital audio signals. SOLUTION: A disclosed audio reproducing apparatus is equipped with; a decoder which performs decoding processing as to compressed digital audio signal DAS; a higher harmonics of odd orders generating circuit 11 which generates the higher harmonics of odd orders of the decoded digital audio signal DAS; a delay processing circuit 17 which generates the reverberation signal of the decoded digital audio signal; and adding circuits 15, 16 which add the higher harmonics of odd orders and the reverberation signal to a decoded digital audio signal DCASL.
