PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head which ensures high connection reliability in numerous electric connection parts and can be manufactured best suitably, and a method for manufacturing the liquid discharge head. SOLUTION: This liquid discharge head comprises a wiring member (a first wiring means) including a through hole 92, formed so as to allow its penetration through a bump 90 formed on the bump forming surface of a cover 60, the cover 60 and a common flow passage plate 84 and a wiring member 96 (a second wiring means) formed so as to allow its penetration through the through hole 92, as a wiring means which transmits a drive signal to individual electrodes 57 of a piezoelectric element 58 from a wiring pattern of a flexible substrate 64. The individual electrode 57 has a plurality of the electric connection parts, one of which is connected with the bump 90 through a conducting joint member 94, while the other electric connection part is electrically joined with the wiring member 96 through a conducting joint member 100.
