ANTI-THEFT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE WITH ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft device for a vehicle equipped with an engine capable of preventing the vehicle operations from stopping undeliberately even if a failure occurs in a control unit after a start signal is emitted upon judging that the person appearing is a true user.

SOLUTION: The anti-theft device for the vehicle equipped with the engine is equipped with a portable transmitter/receiver to be carried by the user of the vehicle and a control unit mounted on the vehicle for judging whether the person appearing is a true user on the basis of the two-way communication with the portable transmitter/receiver and emitting a start signal to put electric appliances necessary for the vehicle operations in continuity to a power supply in compliance with the starting operation after judgement that the person is a true user, wherein the condition that the electric appliances 40 and 41 necessary for the vehicle operations are put in continuity to the power supply 42 is held by a self-holding circuit 44 until the stopping operation is conducted after the start signal is emitted from the control unit 30.
