<p>Disclosed are sphingolipid-PEG derivatives, which comprise sphingolipid selected from the group consisting of N-acetylphytosphigosine, N-acetylsphigapine and N-acetylsphingadiene and polyethylene glycol, and compositions for skin external use containing the derivatives. The sphingolipid-PEG derivatives and the compositions exhibit an improved skin whitening effect. Further, the derivatives and compositions show an improved solubility of sphingoUpid and a decreased toxicity and, accordingly, can be used broadly.</p> |
