When domestic treated water, produced by treating domestic waste water, is transported as ballast water of a ship and supplied to a consumer of domestic treated water, information concerning the domestic treated water being supplied is transmitted, while being matched with information concerning required domestic treated water, to the owner of a ship for transporting the domestic treated water. The owner presents the price and the quantity of transported water being delivered to the consumer after determining them. When a trade is settled, the information concerning the domestic treated water being supplied and the information concerning required domestic treated water are corrected based on the quantity of transported water and matching is performed again. Consequently, a method for assisting trade of domestic treated water is realized.
