<p>An illuminated game board, especially for chess, has the board made of light conducting sheets with illuminators integral to the edges of the sheets and/or sub sheets. The sheets are provided with field markings and the illuminators, and their electric connections, are hidden by screening coatings. Suitable illuminators includes LEDs or selected color. The screening prevents dazzling the players and viewers. The system can be applied to multi layer game boards, e.g. three dimensional chess.</p> |
