THE METHOD OF PREPARING OPTICALLY ACTIVE TRANS-1-RAMINO-2-INDANOL AND THEIR ESTERS BY ENZYMATIC METHOD

A method for preparing a trans-(1S,2S)-1-R amino-2-indanol is provided to obtain the high yield of trans-(1S,2S)-1-R amino-2-indanol through stereo-selective esterification of racemic trans-1-R amino-2-indanol using enzymatic method. The method for preparing an optically active trans-1-R amino-2-indanol represented by the formula(2) and an optically active trans-1-R amino-2-indanyl ester is characterized in that a hydroxy group of a racemic trans-1-R amino-2-indanol represented by the formula(1) is stereo-selectively esterified in an organic solvent or in a non-solvent using an acyl donor with using lipase as a catalyst.
