The procedure consists of turning the component about its axis of rotation, positioned horizontally while partially immersed in a tank (59) filled with a descaling product such as a mixture of hydrofluoric and nitric acid. During immersion the product is recycled, being pumped continuously into the inside of the component and maintained at a constant level. It is pumped into the inner cavities at a rate proportional to their respective volumes. After descaling, the component is plunged into a bath of a neutralising product such as water. |
