The knee prosthesis consists of an internal or external femoral implant (F) that co-operates with a tibial implant (T) with or without a femoro-patellar implant. The femoral implant comprises a condyle plate (1) with a flat inner thrust surface (1b) that co-operates with a cut posterior condyle bone surface, an adjoining curved surface (1c) that fits over the condyle's anterior surface, and a rib (1d) that fits into a slot made in the condyle. The tibial implant consists of a plate (3) capable of limited rotation and horizontal movement on a base (2) fixed to a tibial cut surface.
