A painting booth and drying method for combination use of oil and water paints using near infrared ray is provided to obtain optimal drying effect by using air supplying/exhausting system together with near infrared drying apparatus, to improve dramatically drying efficiency of water and oil paints, and to maximize working efficiency of painting process. The painting booth for combination use of oil and water paints using near infrared ray includes a heating room having a fan and a burner; a drying room(4) having a near infrared drying apparatus(2); an air supplying system(5) to supply hot wind to the drying room; and air exhausting systems(3,3a) for water and oil paint. The near infrared drying apparatus(2) comprises: a moving rail established on the upper part of drying room(4); a slider able to move and control intervals horizontally; the first connection unit; the second connection unit able to control its angle; the third connection unit; the forth connection unit; and a near infrared heater on one end of the forth connection unit having a temperature sensor and a distance sensor.
