The invention relates to a method for jointing materials (7, 8), of which at least one first material (7) has a high-melting oxide layer at the surface thereof at the joint position (5). According to the invention, the jointing process may be carried out despite said oxide layer with high quality, whereby a laser beam (4) is provided, by means of which a surface heating of the first material (7) at the joint position (5) is carried out to thermally destroy the oxide layer. The heat input brought about by the laser beam is controlled such that no puncture holes are formed in the material (7). A controlled arc (6) is then generated, by means of which a fusion of the materials (7, 8) for joining at the joint position (5) is carried out after completion of the irradiation with the laser beam (4). The invention further relates to a device for carrying out said method. |
