PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect nipping of even a thin and soft object in the door of an elevator. SOLUTION: This safety device is arranged in the vicinity of car doors 1 and 2 of the elevator, and prevents a nipping accident by reversely controlling the doors by contact of the object, and is constituted by arranging sensors 5 and 6 for detecting a natural vibration sound issued when the object nipped by the doors rubs and moves, as a detector of this safety device.
