PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article purchase apparatus and an article purchase method which are capable of automatically purchasing an article, paying a charge corresponding to it and summing up data or the like in conformity with circumstances such as the fluctuation of consumption tax in an exchange place where articles are purchased for instance. SOLUTION: The article purchase apparatus 10 is mainly constituted of a sorter part 100 and a CDPOS part 200. The sorter part 100 and the CDPOS part 200 are connected by a cable 300 for communication and for power supply and information are communicated between them respectively. On the front surface of the CDPOS part 200, a ten-key board 208 for inputting calculation elements such as a purchase price corresponding to a special premium P, the consumption tax and a service charge and a resale price corresponding to the special premium P, etc., and a display part 209 are provided, and the purchase price of the special premium can be set to the price including the consumption tax and the service charge, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
