<p>The invention relates to a footrest (1) comprising: a base panel (2) which is made from an electroinsulating material, and a resistive electric circuit (3) which is coupled to the base panel and which can be connected to the electrical power supply grid by means of a cable and a plug (6). In addition, insulating strips are positioned on the aforementioned resistive electric circuit and a tempered glass sheet (4) is disposed thereon, such that said sheet is separated physically from the electric circuit. The electric circuit (3) has very low power, such that power consumption is minimal and the temperature of the glass sheet (4) is suitable for resting one's feet thereon at a comfortable, risk-free temperature. In this way, a low level of heating can be used in the living space, without affecting comfort, thereby reducing power consumption.</p> |
