PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device capable of securely retrieving an objected file, and capable of determining whether the file can be used or not by an application even though a file name, file attribute, and a file name and file attribute of a related file has been changed. SOLUTION: A file 25 is composed of a header 27 and data 29. File information 33 and related file information 35 are stored in the header 27 other than conventional file property 31. Information at generation time the file is stored in the file information 33. The related file information 35 includes data relating to the file (link, insertion, etc.), and stores therein the file name, a path, and information on the related file at the generation time. When the objective file is retrieved, the objective file is retrieved based on the information at the generation time stored in the file information 33.
