PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management system, an image management method and a program, suitably managing an image in order to display an image to which the optimizing processing is conducted, or to create/display a differential image where the occurrence of artifact is restrained. SOLUTION: An image is input from an image generator 100 to a server 109, and stored in a storage device 105. Then, the determination is made whether or not an image including the same incidental information as the input image is already registered in a system, and if not registered in the system, the incidental information included in the input image is read out and newly registered in association with the input image. Also, when the image including the same incidental information as the input image is registered in the system and the incidental information is registered, the information showing the fact that the image is input is registered.
