PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slave capable of measuring the number of times of ON/OFF of input/output devices which is maintenance information without having influences on a control system. SOLUTION: This slave 43 connected with a field network 42 is provided with a measuring means serving as a control device connected to the slave, counting the number of times of operation of an input device or an output device, by counting the number of times of ON/OFF of the input device 44a fetching IN data or the output device 44b outputting OUT data; a determining means comparing and determining a measured value measured by the measuring means with a reference value; and a means outputting the determined result obtained by the determining means to a master unit through the network.
