METHOD OF WARMING CAST IRON IN THE HOT-METAL TRANSFER LADLES FOR POURING OF MOULDS

The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the methods of warming cast iron in the hot-metal transfer ladles. A method includes introduction of the wastes of secondary aluminum at filling of ladle for 1/5-3/4 of its height with separate portions of 0.2-0.7 kg/t of cast iron. The feeding of waste is additionally performed on the bottom of ladle with a flow rate of 0.05-0.3 and for the heel of cast iron after filling of ladle in amount of 0.1-0.2 of total consumption of the heater. As a result, the losses of cast iron with the scrap decrease and specific consumption of ladle fireproof materials is reduced.
