A brushless DC motor is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by efficiently using the available magnetic energy and reducing the amount of armatures and coils. A brushless DC motor includes a dual phase winding armature(100), and a rotor(200). The dual phase winding armature(100) has 4 multiples(4 x n) of winding poles(101), and an auxiliary salient pole(300) between the winding poles(101). The rotor(200) is composed of 6 multiples(6 x n) of permanent magnetic rotor poles having the same division angle.
