<p>A system for removing foam (12) produced in a tank (1) of activated sludge that is oxygenated by air fed into the middle of it uses a duct (10) linked directly to the air feeder, which is a suction column (6) connected to a depression generator (5). The duct (10) is joined laterally to the suction column, with its upper end above the level of the liquid (2) in the tank and fitted with a flap valve (11); it is more or less the same diameter as the suction column, which has a silencer (8) on its upper end. The flap valve can be manually operated or controlled by a detector at foam level.</p> |
