MOTOR SHAFT FOR MICROMOTOR, AND MICROMOTOR

A motor shaft for a micromotor where a high reduction rate can be obtained by a speed reducing gear mechanism and where high dimensional accuracy and durability of a pinion can be obtained. A pinion is integrally formed on the forward end side of a shaft, and the pinion has an outer diameter equal to or smaller than the diameter of the shaft. At least the portion of the pinion of the shaft is formed from a glassy alloy containing 50% in volumetric ratio of a glassy metal structure. Because the pinion can be sufficiently reduced in its diameter, a high reduction ratio can be obtained by a speed reducing gear mechanism. Further, since the at least the pinion portion is formed from the glassy alloy, the portion can have high dimensional accuracy and durability.
