PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system enabling a user to readily handle even an unfamiliar personal computer, and a keyboard used in the computer system. SOLUTION: In this system, since the setting of the keyboard is changed to be easy for the user (S24), the keyboard, even if connected to any computer, can be used with the changed setting. The keyboard comprises an IC memory, and is adapted so that the IC memory is mounted when starting of the IC memory is instructed by processing in a central control unit. Accordingly, when this computer system is used, a computer 1 can be operated through the familiar keyboard only by connecting the keyboard to the computer.
