PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drier for excellently performing drying regardless of quantity of clothes to be dried stored in a drum. SOLUTION: When the quantity of clothes C to be dried stored in the drum 3 is reference quantity or less, the drum 3 is rotated at a reference rotating speed. While, when the quantity of clothes C exceeds the reference quantity, the drum 3 is rotated at a high rotating speed faster than the reference rotating speed. This invention can easily agitate the clothes C in the drum 3 by an increase in agitating performance by a baffle 6 when rotating the drum 3 at a high speed when the quantity of clothes C is much. When the clothes C are excellently agitated in the drum 3, heat is excellently exchanged between the clothes C and heating air passing through the inside of the drum 3, and drying efficiency is improved, and drying time of the clothes can be shortened.
