PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrival construction method of a shield boring machine capable of making a shield boring machine arrive at an arrival shaft by effectively protecting an entrance sealing member mounted to an entrance ring by a simple constitution without depending on a double cylindrical structure. SOLUTION: The entrance ring section 16 mounting the entrance sealing member 15 to the circumferential edge section of an entrance 14 is projected inward of the arrival shaft 12 and is provided, a cylindrical body 17 covering the front end part of the shield boring machine 11 is installed inside of the entrance ring section 16 by closely adhering the entrance sealing member 15 to the outer circumferential surface, at the same time, the end face is closed by a lid member 18, and the lid member 18 is in a state to support it from an inside tunnel by an expansion jack 19. The entrance 14 is made to pass through to move forward the shield boring machine 11 up to the lid member 18, the expansion jack 19 is further moved forward together with the cylindrical body 17 while contracting it to adhere the entrance sealing member 15 to the outer circumferential surface of an outlying body 11b of the shield boring machine 11 at the back separated from the cylindrical body 17, and the inside of the entrance ring section 16 is sealed.
