PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-containing substance drying processing device capable of efficiently and continuously drying water-containing wastes in a uniform state without temperature difference in a tank, though a vertical type drying processing device is applied, and the wastes can be easily discharged from the tank. SOLUTION: This drying processing device 1 for drying and processing the water-containing wastes has a two-stage structure of an upper drying tank (fermentation tank) 2 and a lower drying tank 3, and these drying tanks 2, 3 are arranged in a displaced state from each other. The drying tanks 2, 3 are respectively covered by heating hot water tanks 4, 5 over the whole surrounding areas excluding upper portions, and stirring blades 6, 7 rotated on the vertical direction as a shaft center, are rotatably mounted therein. Discharge openings 8, 9 are openably and closably formed on bottom portions of the drying tanks 2, 3. The discharge opening 8 of the upper drying tank 2 is opposite to a take-in opening 10 formed on an upper portion of the lower drying tank 3 through a connection cylinder 10a, so that the wastes are taken in the lower drying tank 3 from the take-in opening 10, and discharged to a recovering box 11 from the discharge opening 9 of the lower drying tank 3.
