PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecule control method capable of effectively controlling conformation of various molecules and alignment state of a plurality of molecules, and a molecular adsorption material and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: After adsorbing molecules into the molecular adsorption material, electromagnetic waves having 0.1 to 15 THz of frequency are irradiated to the molecules to control the conformation of molecules and/or the arrangement state of molecules. The preferable molecular absorption material is such a material that fine pores composed of a mesopore having a pore diameter of 1 nm or more and 100 nm or less and a micropore having a pore diameter of 0.2 nm or more and less than 1 nm formed on the pore wall of the mesopore are periodically formed.
