PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coupling dissimilar plate materials, capable of easily and promptly performing complete galvanic corrosion protection, and attaining ease of work and cost reduction. SOLUTION: This method is a method of coupling different types of plates in which both the plates 4, 5 are jointed in a laminated state by inserting a fastening member 8 into through holes O respectively opened and provided at a first plate 4 and a second plate 5 made of a metal material different from the first plate 4, and fastening the fastening member 8. Electric insulation adhesive tape T is made to adhere to either of the contact surfaces of both the plates 4, 5 in advance, both the plates 4, 5 are layered, and then the fastening member 8 of which surface facing at least both the plates 4, 5 is surface-treated is inserted and fastened.
