<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which there are solar cells of a plurality of types, a control fitted to characteristics of any type is made even by using any solar cell, a manual change by an executor is not required, and the solar cells are decided automatically. <P>SOLUTION: In a solar-cell controller, the types of the solar cells are discriminated for maximizing output powers from the solar cells supplying a load with a power and output voltages from the solar cells are controlled so as to be operated at a maximum output operating voltage. A memory is fitted to the solar-cell controller, and a release-voltage range value in the specified illuminance of a plurality of types of the solar cells for discriminating the types of the solar cells is stored in the memory while the short-circuit currents and release voltages of the solar cells are measured. The illuminances received by the solar cells are computed from the short-circuit currents, the release-voltage values of the solar cells in the illuminances are compared with the release-voltage range value in the specified illuminance of a plurality of types of the solar cells in the memory, and the types of the solar cells are discriminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
