<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly expand the second chamber when an airbag is expanded in the air bag of which the inside is divided into a first chamber and the second chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The inside of the airbag 10 is divided into the first chamber 1 and the second chamber 2 by inner panels 22A and 22B. The outer peripheral edge sections of the inner panels 22A and 22B are sewn to each other by a tear seam 23B. Overhung sections 60 and 61 are respectively projected from the outer peripheries of the inner panels 22A and 22B, and the overhung sections 60 and 61 are sewn to each other by a seam 23C. Until the inside of the first chamber 1 reaches a specified pressure, the thickness of the airbag 10 is kept to be comparatively small by a connected body of the first inner panel 22A and the second inner panel 22B. When the inside of the first chamber 1 has reached the specified pressure, the tear seam 23B breaks, and the inner panels 22A and 22B are separated from each other, and the thickness of the airbag 10 is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
