PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition which gives creamy lather, does not get slimy, washes well and exhibits rapid breaking of lather upon rinsing and lathers well, when an oily component coexists. SOLUTION: The detergent composition contains (a) an acylamino acid salt having a 6-10C acyl group and (b) an anionic surfactant having a sulfuric acid group or a sulfonic acid group. The composition contains 0.05-30 mass% of the acylamino acid salt (a) and 1-50 mass% of the anionic surfactant (b).
