A profile system for joining together the edges of adjacent panels (3, 4 Fig 2) comprises a rear component part 2 defining a pair of arms 5, 6 each joined to an intermediate connecting member 8, and a front component part 1 defining a pair of arms 12, 13 each joined to an intermediate connecting member 15. The intermediate connecting members 8, 15 of the front and rear components (1, 2) are adapted, in use, to mate with one another to connect the front and rear component parts 1, 2 together. When connected each arm 5, 6 of the rear component part 2 lies opposite to and spaced from a respective one of the arms 12, 13 of the front component part 1 to define a channel therewith into which, in use, the edge of a panel (3, 4 Fig 2) is received. The inwardly facing surface of each arm 12, 13 of the front component part 1 is provided with a sealant portion 16 which forms a seal with a respective one of the two panels to be joined together by the profile system. |
