HYBRID BACKLIGHT APPARATUS

A hybrid backlight unit is provided to enlarge the region for color expression and effectively control the color temperature, thereby achieving natural color expression, by adding a monochromatic light source to a fluorescent lamp. A main light source(120) generates white light. An auxiliary light source(130) generates monochromatic light to compensate color temperature of the white light. A light mixing region(110) mixes the white light with the monochromatic light to form mixed light, of which color temperature is compensated. A reflection plate(140) is disposed below the light mixing region. The white light has a color temperature of 7000K to 20000K. The auxiliary light source generates the monochromatic light so that the mixed light has a color temperature of 5000K to 12000K.
