PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which can prevent a waste liquid from leaking out of a waste liquid tank by promptly and surely absorbing the waste liquid discharged into the waste liquid tank by an absorber in the waste liquid tank. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector is equipped with a recording head 19, a cap 23 which receives waste ink when the waste ink is discharged from the recording head 19, a waste ink tank 25 in which a waste ink absorber 31 capable of absorbing the waste ink is stored, a discharge tube 24 set between the cap 23 and the waste ink tank 25, and a tube pump 26 which sucks the waste ink from the cap 23 side through the discharge tube 24 and sends the waste ink to the waste ink tank 25 side. A sealing structure which brings the inside and the outside of the discharge tube 24 not to communicate with each other in the waste ink tank 25 is formed between a discharge opening 24a of the discharge tube 24 and the waste ink absorber 31.
