METHOD FOR PRODUCING CELLULASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cello-oligosaccharide, by which the cello-oligosaccharide can selectively be produced from a natural cellulosic substance in good selectivity and in high yield.

SOLUTION: A method for producing cellulase is characterized in that the activity ratio (β-glucosidase activity/crystal cellulose-decomposing activity) of β-glucosidase activity to crystal cellulose-decomposing activity in a culture solution is ≤0.35. And a method for producing the cello-oligosaccharide is characterized by enzymatically hydrolyzing cellulose in the presence of the cellulase.
