PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium, a device, and a method for recording information, for sharply shortening the time for updating management information recorded on an information recording medium to the latest management information even when the information recorded on the medium is determined as unreliable. SOLUTION: The information recording medium has a recording area divided into a plurality of partial areas, and an information area for recording the management information for managing states of the plurality of partial areas at least for respective partial areas, and for recording reliability information exhibiting the reliability of the management information respectively for the plurality of partial regions.
