An AC box for air cleaner in which an AC PCB is embedded, and which is assembled more simply is provided. In an air cleaner having an AC box(380) in which an AC PCB is embedded, an AC box for the air cleaner is characterized in that the AC box comprises an upper case(384) for forming an upper external appearance of the AC box, and a lower case(382) for forming a lower external appearance of the AC box, wherein the upper case and the lower case are joined with each other by a joining device(390) integrally formed on the upper case and the lower case. The joining device comprises a locking means(392) for enabling one ends of the upper case and the lower case to be locked with each other; and a clamping means(394) for enabling the other ends of the upper case and the lower case to be clamped to each other. The locking means comprises a locking projection(392') and a locking hole(392") correspondingly formed on ends of the lower case and the upper case respectively. The clamping means comprises clamping hooks(394') and hook holes(394") correspondingly formed on the other ends of the lower case and the upper case respectively.
