PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable rear view mirror for seeing the user's back in stead of a conventional hand mirror generally used for seeing the user's back thereon for it is impossible to not only see the whole of it but also use both hands for correcting or finishing work sufficiently because one hand is occupied by the hand mirror for holding it. SOLUTION: A main link 5 is connected to a base material fixed to a wall, a partition or the like by way of a linear guide that is parallel to the wall and a connecting pin A4. A mirror supporting member is connected to the other end of the main link by way of a pin B6. An auxiliary link A9 is connected to the wall side point of the mirror supporting member by way of a connecting pin C8, and the other end of the auxiliary link A9 is connected to an auxiliary link B11 by way of a connecting pin D10. The other end of the auxiliary link B is connected to the main link by way of a connecting pin E12. Moreover, the auxiliary link A is provided with a guide roller 13 that is concentric with the connecting pin D for linear movement along the linear guide. In this way, the connecting pins A, B, C and D form a parallelogram link and a plane mirror for a movable mirror is mounted on the mirror supporting member thereon with mirror mounting brackets.
