PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly set a destination even in the case that it is impossible for a user to correctly touch a facility on a map which the user desires to set as a destination in a navigation system for searching a recommended route to a destination touched by a user on a map. SOLUTION: When the user continues to touch one point on a map, a circular area centered on the touched point is gradually enlarged and displayed according to a touched time period. The names of facilities located within the circular area displayed when the user takes his finger off are displayed in a list 40. When the user selects any from among the facility names displayed in the list, the facility is set as a destination to search a remaining part of a recommended route 22 and search the overall recommended route 22 from the location 20 of a self vehicle to the destination facility.
