<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformable structure for use in a supporting device for cables, that has enhanced strength and can be kept in a predetermined deformed state. <P>SOLUTION: A spacer member 104 provided at one base 102 is abutted against the other base 102, and thereby the fist axial lines of the individual couplers adjoining in the direction of extension are inclined relative to one another. Thus, the deformable structure 83 can be extended arcuately. When the spacer member 104 is abutted against the other base 102 and external force is applied in such a direction that the two bases 102 on both sides of the spacer member 104 are further brought close to each other, the bases 102 on both sides are prevented from coming close to each other by the spacer member 104. Even if such external force is applied, the force is only applied to the bases 102 and the spacer member 104. The force can be prevented from being applied to the structurally weak couplers.
