PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately manage contents of data and reproduction information recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: Clip (Clip Information file and Clip AV stream file) and Play List are recorded in a recording medium of copy origin. Files of Play List and Clip are transferred to the recording medium of a copy destination from the copy origin through a digital path of IEEE1394 and copied. An arrival time stamp of TP_extra_header of each source packet of the copied Clip AV stream file is same as the copy origin, also Clip Information file and Play List file corresponding to the copied Clip AV stream file are copied to the copy origin.
