PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support method and a parking support device, adequately providing a vehicle with a parking operation and guiding the vehicle even when the distance from a traveling start point for parking to a parking position is long. SOLUTION: A first expected locus line 41a to be changed according to the steering angle and a vehicle width extension line 42 overlap a rear view screen 40 and are displayed on a display 12. A second expected locus line 41b to be changed according to the steering angle to index a parking area R (R1) to which the first expected locus line 41a projected backwardly does not reach the rear view screen 40 is overlapped with the rear view screen 40 and is displayed on the display 12.
