<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an empty can sterilizer for spraying a chemical liquid uniformly to prevent a failure in spraying the chemical liquid, advantageous in high-speed processing, and for realizing its structure at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The empty can sterilizer includes: an empty can carrying means 21 for sucking respective downwardly facing empty cans Ec supplied by a supply conveyer 13 one by one by a suction-type suction pad 28 for carrying; a lateral spray nozzle Pn1 for spraying a sterilizing chemical liquid to an outer peripheral surface of a can barrel of each downwardly facing empty can Ec being carried; an upward spray nozzle Pn2 for spraying the chemical liquid to an internal surface of each downwardly facing empty can Ec being carried; an approach conveyer 83 for receiving each empty can Ec with the chemical liquid sprayed from the suction pad 28 and carrying it to a heating furnace while the can face downward; a downward spray nozzle Pn3 for spraying the sterilizing chemical liquid to an external bottom surface of each downwardly facing empty can Ec being carried by the approach conveyer 83; and a guide member 39 for stably traveling the suction pad 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
