PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trough support base capable of attaining weight reduction and simple and prompt work for the trough support member. SOLUTION: This trough support base, composed of the trough support member of U shape in cross section and a jointing member, is constructed by folding side plate upper end portions of both the members inward and fitting a locking portion or an engagement portion onto the side plate of the trough support member jointed by the jointing member and the engagement portion or the locking portion onto the side plate of the jointing member, respectively.
